Woody Hill joined Meriwether & Tharp, LLC in 2023 and is the managing attorney of the firm's Savannah office. He has practiced law for over twenty years and is licensed in West Virginia and Georgia.

Woody, a West Virginia native, graduated from college in 1994 and enlisted in the Marine Corps. He became a commissioned officer, and after serving on active duty he and his wife Kelli moved back home to attend law school. Woody continued to serve in the Marine Corps Reserve and is currently a Lieutenant Colonel.

Upon graduation from law school, Woody began practicing complex civil litigation in Charleston, West Virginia. Woody left private practice in 2009 to serve as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney until 2011 when the Marine Corps needed him to mobilize for active duty to support his unit's deployment to Afghanistan. In 2012, Woody started a law firm practicing family law, civil litigation, criminal defense, and personal injury.

Woody has served as a family court mediator and a volunteer attorney for Legal Aid. Additionally, Woody has served multiple deployments and mobilizations for the Marine Corps. His last assignment was serving as a congressional affairs officer for the Commanding General of NATO/US Forces Afghanistan in Kabul. Woody has been married for 28 years to his wife Kelli, who is also an attorney, and together they have three children, Wesley, Isabella, and Lila. Wesley is a Marine on active duty and Isabella is in the Army Reserve in Tallahassee.

Woody was named Citizen Soldier of the Year in 2018 by the West Virginia State Bar for his service to the military and the legal community. He also received the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal in 2015 for service to the community.
