After five years of marriage, superstar actress Megan Fox filed for a divorce from her husband Brian Austin Green. As reported by People.com and other celebrity news outlets, Fox and Green separated in June 2015. Just months later, in August 2015, Fox filed a petition for divorce asking the court to grant the couple a divorce based on irreconcilable differences. In her divorce filing, Fox also sought joint legal and physical custody of the couple's two young sons, Noah and Bodhi. Although the reason behind the split is not revealed in Fox's divorce filings, those close to the couple have revealed that disagreements between Megan and Brian regarding Megan's career path and her work life balance may have ultimately led the couple to go their separate ways.
Sources close to the couple have indicated the couple did not have a prenuptial agreement, so the couple's marital property will be divided according to California's community property laws. Additionally, those close to the couple also believe Brian will likely be awarded alimony due to Megan's earning potential and his health concerns. Despite being separated, the couple continues to share the same home. Hopefully, this is an indication that the couple will be able to amicably resolve the issues of child custody, child support, alimony, and property division.
