Background

Amy Trice has been with Meriwether & Tharp since 2002 and has seen the firm grow from its two partners to its team attorneys and support staff. Amy has assisted in transitioning this law firm from a small practice into a thriving firm that is now one of the largest family law firms in Georgia.

Amy graduated college from Georgia State University with a Bachelor's Degree in English literature. Amy continued her education at the National Center for Paralegal Training (NCPT) in Atlanta, Georgia where she graduated with Honors in 2002. From her first class at NCPT, Amy knew she wanted to work in the legal field.

Amy's passion for family law comes from her personal childhood experiences growing up in a divorced family. Understanding the emotional, mental, and financial difficulties for families going through a divorce and sometimes for families after a divorce, Amy became interested in the area of family law and she wanted to help those who were going through a similar situation.

Amy's compassion for those involved in a family law dispute is evidenced by her high attention to detail in all aspects of her work. Having worked primarily with Leh Meriwether, Amy has assisted Leh and his team of associates in a variety of areas of family law cases, including uncontested and contested divorces, legitimation, annulment, child support modification, and custody modification. Amy's experience and expertise makes her a valuable asset to Meriwether & Tharp, LLC.

On a personal level, Amy is happily married and lives in Canton with her husband, Rob, and their four adorable polydactyl cats, Houdini, Delilah, Thackery and Emily. In her spare time, she loves to spend time with her family and friends, traveling, watching television, and relaxing at her cabin in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.
