Forsyth and Cherokee County Parenting Seminar Information: January – March 2013

Under Georgia law, both parties in a divorce are required to attend a parenting seminar in Georgia if the parties have children under the age of 18. See Uniform Superior Court Rule 24.8. Forsyth County (Cumming) and Cherokee County (Ball Ground, Canton, and Woodstock) are part of the 9th judicial district. The January - March 2013 parenting seminar schedule for the 9th judicial district is as follows:

Gainesville (New Hall County Courthouse 1st Floor, 225 Green Street SE), Thursdays 5:00pm - 9:00pm: January 3, January 17, February 7, February 21, March 7, March 28

Canton (RT Jones Memorial Library, 116 Brown Industrial Parkway), Saturdays 10:00am - 2:00pm: January 19, February 16, March 16

Clarkesville (North GA Technical College, Clegg Complex, 1500 Hwy. 197 North), Wednesdays 1:00pm - 5:00pm: January 16, February 13, March 13

Cumming (Central Park Recreation Center, 2300 Keith Bridge Road), Saturdays 10:00am - 2:00pm: January 12, February 2, March 2

Ellijay (Gilmer County Library, 268 Calvin Jackson Drive), Mondays 1:00pm - 5:00pm: January 14, February 11, March 11

Dahlonega (North Georgia College & State University, Continuing Education Building, 25 Schultz Avenue), Wednesdays 9:00am - 1:00pm: January 9, February 6, March 6

Blairsville (Haralson Civic Center, 165 Welborn Street), Mondays 1:00pm - 5:00pm: January 7, February 4, March 4

The cost of the seminar is currently $50.00 per person. There is no pre-registration, but you must pay with money order. You can find additional information about these seminars at 9th Judicial Office of Alternative Dispute Resolution website.
