Rebecca Doyle Hanks
Administrative Assistant
Background
Rebecca Margaret Doyle Hanks was born and raised in
Newtownmountkennedy, a town in County Wicklow, Ireland.
Newtownmountkennedy happens to be the longest
town name in Ireland.
Rebecca studied Montessori and Child Psychology in Dublin
and taught in an inner-city school.
Upon hearing the female president of Ireland speak of unemployed students who managed to access 15,000 visas, Rebecca applied for a visa and was thrilled to be chosen. Within three months, Rebecca travelled to Boston, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Georgia became Rebecca's last stop on the map, and she continues to love living here.
Rebecca taught GA Pre-K for 9 years and was a Kindergarten Paraprofessional for 2 years. She also played for an all-female Gaelic football team for 2 years. Rebecca has volunteered and participated in Hands on Atlanta for many years. Prior to joining Meriwether & Tharp, Rebecca worked as an intake specialist for a family law firm, where she learned to enjoy working with potential clients and committed herself to making a difference.
Rebecca's mom continues to live in Ireland and she has two brothers. One brother lives in Ireland and the other in Canada. Rebecca's family enjoys banter about the US versus Canada.
Rebecca has a soon to be 16-year-old son who
keeps her on her toes. Rebecca and her son spend a lot of time together hiking,
going to the movies and trying to keep the comedy alive in their lives. They
have two dogs that love going to the lake and playing fetch.
