Background
Jennifer began her career in the legal profession as a legal
and administrative assistant at a boutique law firm in Alpharetta, Georgia, in
2014. Though she had more than ten years
of experience in office administration and office management, she was always
fascinated with the field of law. When a happy accident provided Jennifer with
chance the to work in a family law firm, she seized the
opportunity. In short order, Jennifer was transitioned to the role of paralegal
and became more involved with the clients. It was then she realized that the
hardships and emotional weight of her own divorce and custody issues could be
turned into passionate support for her clients and their children as they
navigate the process of domestic litigation.
In 2018, after years of on-the-job training, Jennifer's firm
partners invested in her future and sent her to attend the University of
Georgia Paralegal Certificate Course. While not focused on family law
specifically, exposure to how other disciplines practiced provided unique
insight as to how researching the law, preparing for litigation, and executing
discovery would cross over into family law and expand her development as a
professional.
Though born in New Jersey, Jennifer considers herself "basically
a native" of Georgia. She was raised in Gwinnett County and attended Brookwood
High School. In her early years after high school, the winds took Jennifer to Miami,
Florida and later to Jacksonville, North Carolina. As a wise woman once said,
however, "There's no place like home", and she returned to her hometown of
Lilburn in 2000 to raise her infant son, Max, the King of All Wild Things. If money and time were no object, she would
travel the world with a backpack and a camera, and when not globetrotting, buy
all of the front row concert tickets. Since
money and time are objects, Jennifer enjoys hiking, riding her bike on
the Big Creek Greenway, and good meals with good friends, but most of all, she
loves spending time with her two big white American Staffordshire Terriers,
Moby and Bunny.
