Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice
Background
Emily has been a dedicated family law paralegal for several
years. She graduated from Georgia State University with a bachelor's degree in
criminal justice and, shortly thereafter, interned at a criminal defense law
firm, where she realized criminal law was not her true passion.
Before beginning her career in family law, Emily worked in
the real estate and property management industry. She was drawn to family law
because of her own personal experiences growing up in a divorced family and
seeing firsthand how family dynamics can impact children and individuals. These
experiences gave her a deep understanding of the emotional and personal
challenges many clients face during family law matters.
Emily is passionate about advocating for clients and
assisting attorneys in guiding families through difficult transitions with
compassion, empathy and care. She finds deep purpose in supporting clients
through some of the most challenging moments of their lives.
Outside of work, Emily enjoys spending time with her family, reading novels, watching historical fiction shows, and playing tennis. She also loves traveling and discovering new places with her family.
