Background
Donald W. Osborne comes to Meriwether and Tharp with a wide
array of expertise. He began his career
as a judicial law clerk after graduating from Emory School of Law. He was later appointed by those judges as the
Public Defender of the Cordele Judicial Circuit, handling and trying felony
cases. Following his tenure there, he
returned to Atlanta where he practiced in the area of Insurance Defense and
Medical Malpractice Defense.
Don began practicing in the area of Family Law in 2001 and
has been guiding clients through the delicate process of Family law cases ever
since.
Don has extensive trial experience having tried over 200
jury and bench trials in Georgia and other states. Don is active in his community serving the
City of Norcross as a member of the Norcross Housing Authority. He is involved in Community Theater and
started the first Farmer's Market in Monroe Georgia. He lives with his wife. Michelle, and dog,
Felix, in downtown Norcross and has four adult children living in various parts
of the state.
Don served for many years as an
instructor in the Emory Law School's, National Institute for Trial Advocacy,
(NITA), as a part of the curriculum
