Background
While at
the University of Georgia, Amanda Carlson served as Chapter President of the Delta Phi
Epsilon sorority, a panhellenic sorority with over two hundred members, where she oversaw all chapter activities and philanthropic events.
At DePaul, Amanda currently serves as the President of the Child and Family Law Association where
she facilitates networking events for family law students and family law
practitioners in the Chicago area. Amanda also serves as a Teaching Assistant for the
Applied Legal Studies course, which is a required first-year law student course
that teaches important study skills including case briefing and outlining.
During the summer of 2024, Amanda was a legal extern for Cook County's Domestic Relations Division,
where she worked closely with an assigned Judge and assisted in drafting orders
and conducted legal research. Prior to attending law school, Amanda worked as a
legal assistant at a law firm in Athens, Georgia.
Amanda's hobbies include
spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, and cheering for the
Chicago White Sox.
