Amanda Carlson

Background

While at the University of Georgia, Amanda Carlson served as Chapter President of the Delta Phi Epsilon sorority, a panhellenic sorority with over two hundred members, where she oversaw all chapter activities and philanthropic events.

Amanda earned her Juris Doctor from DePaul University College of Law, cum laude, in May 2026. Amanda graduated law school with a Certificate in Family Law, which required the successful completion of elective course work focused on legal issues related to family law and domestic relations matters. While studying at DePaul, Amanda served as the President of the Child and Family Law Association where she facilitated networking events for family law students and family law practitioners in the Chicago area. Amanda also served as a Teaching Assistant for the Applied Legal Studies course, where she mentored other law students on the importance of strong study skills and time management.

During her time studying in Chicago, Amanda was a legal extern for Cook County's Domestic Relations Division, where she worked closely with an assigned Judge and assisted in drafting orders and conducted legal research. She also worked as a law clerk at a large family law firm, where she gained hands-on experience working with lawyers on divorce and child custody matters. Prior to attending law school, Amanda worked as a legal assistant at a law firm in Athens, Georgia.

Amanda's hobbies include spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, and cheering for the Chicago White Sox.
