Lolita has over 20 years of experience as a trial attorney. She is a compassionate advocate for clients and provides quality services with the goal of achieving the best outcome for her clients. She has handled divorces, custody cases, legitimations, child support cases, juvenile court cases, and criminal cases. Before joining M&T, she had a firm Beyah Law, LLC. Lolita’s practice was 80% family law, 15% criminal and 5% general civil/probate matters. She has worked as an associate for The Secret Firm, a public defender in the City of Atlanta and Fulton County as well as a judicial staff attorney in Fulton County Superior Court.
Lolita is from Newark, New Jersey. As a young adult, she was employed as a biomedical research laboratory technician at Rockefeller University in New York when she decided to attend law school because of the injustices she observed in her family and the community. Lolita decided she wanted to be an advocate for people. Although she cannot guarantee the outcome of any case, Lolita understands the importance of protecting an individual's rights in court. She knows that everyone wants their lawyer to fight for them even when it looks like everything stacked against them.
"Lolita was actually hired after a failed working relationship with a previous attorney. I was quite apprehensive about my ability to move forward and have an attorney that was honest, no nonsense, and ready to get the ball rolling. Well, Lolita did not disappoint. She was not only incredibly honest and no nonsense; she was a great listener, very diligent, and focused. She is great at cutting through fluff and getting to the heart of the issue. She is not easily rattled or thrown off and in a two month timeframe we walked away with a workable settlement agreement and divorce. She made more headway in 8 weeks than I had made in the entire 5 months with the previous attorney, and my divorce was signed by the judge. If you are dealing with a contentious divorce, do not hesitate to consult with Lolita Beyah. She is great at what she does." Posted by Erin
"I was going through a case where i saw no end anytime soon, and I didn't think I would make it through, until I met attorney beyah. The day I met her I was scheduled to meet with another attorney but as soon as we sat down and talked, immediately I knew she was the lawyer for me. Her calm spirit is what gave me hope and through all the drama and nonsense she remained at ease which helped me get through the case worry free... with her guidance we were able to resolve our case really fast and I would definitely recommend her to anyone."
