Background

Deborah Koslin is an associate attorney with Meriwether & Tharp, LLC, and practices family law.  Deborah obtained her Juris Doctorate from Emory University School of Law in 2009.  At Emory, she was an active member of the Moot Court Society, serving on the executive board and competing in numerous interschool competitions.  Prior to law school, Deborah graduated magna cum laude from the University of South Carolina in 2006.  Upon graduating from law school, Deborah was admitted to the North Carolina and Georgia State Bars.

Prior to her career in family law, Deborah began practicing law with an Atlanta based firm representing a "Big Four" financial services client defending third party subpoenas from federal and state entities.  Deborah developed an interest in family law even before attending law school, originating from her desire to provide legal guidance to her clients going through a difficult time.  Deborah recognizes that each client has different goals, and focuses her representation to meet her client’s individual goals and needs.  She has successfully represented clients in divorce actions, custody disputes, adoptions, child support and alimony modifications, and family violence actions.

On a personal level, Deborah is originally from Birmingham, Alabama and now lives in the Virginia Highlands area of Atlanta.  She enjoys running, South Carolina sports, and spending time with friends, family, and her two dogs, Sidney and Harper.
